Mia had sat there on step just waiting for Jack patiently, her arms crossed over her legs and glancing out at the grounds. It was a beautiful evening and it was a bit cold, but this was weather that Mia was use to. Being born in this sort of weather was why she was able to handle it so well. While she sat there, she could feel her heart racing within her chest as her eyes shifted toward the time on her watch. It was 6:15 and Jack should be there any time soon. Mia wondered how things that evening were going to go, she hoped that it would go very well, but only time could tell that part.

Thinking back to last night, the way things were just happening like they were. Remembering Jacks words when he said that he would tell her what he really thought tonight. Mia lowered her head down and smiled. Still waiting on Jack, she glanced up to see a couple of students passing by, it was obvious that some had an inclination that she was as they would quote 'going on a date' to Mia it wasn't a date, it was just dinner. Though she wished it were a date. Sighing softly, she rested her chin on the top of her hands. The winds blew gently tonight. It was calm and just right for the night.

It wasn't long that she could hear the quick footsteps, it sounded as if someone was running. Next thing she knew, Jack was laying right next to her. Mia gasped softly "Are you alright?" she asked standing up and extended her hand to help him up. She check him for any scratches or cuts on his hands and palms, and scanned his face for any abrasions. She never liked seeing people hurt, you could call it a weakness of hers. She cared a lot about people, but cared for Jack in a much different way. "Sweetie, you have got to be more careful.." Mia said to Jack as she looked at him softly, the words from her mouth didn't even cross her minds or made her think twice about what she had said, she just said it.

Mia continued to stare at Jack as he laid upon the ground. As she helped him up, she heard him mentioned that he jumped the stairs, all she could do was smile and shake her head. Of course while not trying to laugh, Jack was silly sometimes, though he kept reminding her of her younger years and trying to do that. "Jack, we're not young like we use to be, even though we look like we're still in our twenties. Our bodies just can't handle such torturous moves." she chuckled softly. It was true, Mia knew she wasn't getting any younger, but being with Jack made her feel young.

When Jack looked up at her, she smiled with her hands clasped together in front of her. Mia couldn't help but to grin when his mouth hung slightly open. "Thank you, You always look handsome, even more so in that shirt and pair of jeans." she replied with a wink. Watching as he walked away from the stairs, she noticed him wince. "Are you sure you're alright? You might want to go to the Healer to get checked out." Mia said with a worried tone to her voice. Noticing some dirt on the back of his shirt, she gently brushed it off. Hearing him mention his back, she shook her head with a soft sigh.

As he held his hand out, Mia took it and nodded "Promise me that you will get looked at when we get back?" she asked him, her eyes holding a deep concern for his well being. Looking over at Jack, she smiled and placed her arm gently around him then started to walk towards Hogsmeade for their dinner. On the way there, it was silent and every now and the a conversation was struck like a match to a matchbox. It only lasts so long before it went out. It didn't take too long before they reached the start of Hogsmeade.

Mia looked at Jack with a surprised expression upon her face, "Me??" she said with her eyebrow raised. "Do I really look that old?" she asked curiously. Maybe she did all the wear and tear that she put on her body when she was younger may have made her look older. Seeing him smile at the compliment she gave him, Mia smiled back, but she was still concerned about him. She didn't want anything to happen to him. Brushing him off, Mia heard his comment and laughed, "This time it wasn't me, I swear." she joked. Still she plead for him to go see the Healer once they got back, he asked if he had to.

The blonde hair woman stood there looking at him with her head tilted slightly, "If you don't want to, you don't have to." she said softly, she really hoped that he would, but it was something she couldn't force upon him. As they walked down to Hogsmeade, they had conversations that started and ended from time to time, at least until they got to Hogsmeade. When Jack mentioned that they were there, she looked at him and nodded "Yep, Hogsmeade..." Mia gave him a funny look. "How about the Three Broomsticks?" she asked. "It's just down the street a little ways." Mia added as she started walking, her arm slid from around his back and took his hand. "This way please..." she looked back at him and chuckled.

Walking towards the Three Broomsticks, Mia walked up the stairs and stepped aside so Jack could get by. As she opened the door, Mia walked in and held the door till Jack walked in behind her. Glancing around, she turned back to him "Where would you like to sit?"

Mia understood what Jack meant and was only teasing him, it was something she liked doing every once in a while. "I knew what you meant." she said letting a chuckle escape her lips as they continued to walk down the cobblestone road. It wasn't long after that Jack agreed to go see the Healer if it got worse, Mia nodded "Alright, only if it gets worse." she said. While they were walking, there were people walking down towards the Hogsmeade area from different directions. Looking back towards Jack as they arrived, and shrugged her shoulders "Nothing.." she said with a half tilted smile.

They moved on down the street toward the Three Broomsticks, it wasn't a bad place, in fact it was one of the nicer places to go aside from Madam Puddifoots. Taking Jacks hand, she lead him to the tavern since he hadn't been there. Mia pretty much jogged up the stairs and held the door for Jack because it was a nice guesture and not only that but she wanted to make things less strenuous on him. On the way in after he had shut the door, Mia didn't realize that he had walked passed her only to hear him mention the two seat table near them. A smile graced her lips as she walked over to the table and sat down. Just as they took their seat, a waiter came over and handed them a menu with their silverware wrapped up in a napkin.

"Can I get a butterbeer please?" she asked the server. Mia glanced over at Jack and smiled again at him, then proceeded to take a look over the menu. Reading through everything, she couldn't help but think that it all looked good. "Tough decisions," she muttered with a soft sigh added. Look up over the menu, Mia couldn't help but to smile and think to herself how handsome he really was and had a heart of gold. "So do you see anything you want?" Mia asked him lowering the menu in her hands.

Mia continued to read through the menu to decide upon her dinner for that evening, everything looked so delicious. Glancing up at Jack after the waiter had come and gone, she smiled at him and continued to read over the menu. Mia sat there with her finger over her lips trying to decide what to order, a few minutes passed by of carefully considering what she was going to order, she asked Jack of his decision, she grinned. "Sounds good." Mia said as she sighed. "I'm not sure what I want, everything looks so good." she replied laying the menu down in front of her. Her eyes skimmed over it once more and said "I think I'll go for Spaghetti and meatballs." she said glancing up at Jack with a smile.

Setting the menu down on the table, she folded her hands in front of her and looked around. Mia looked back at Jack when he had asked her how she's been. "I've been busy but good, a few students were having troubles with their friends." she replied then asked "How about you?" Mia was curious if he had been just as excited about tonight as much as she was. Out of the corner of her eye, the waiter came back with their drinks and placed them upon the table asking if they were ready to order. Mia sat back and looked at Jack with a grin, then looked at the waiter "Spaghetti and Meatballs please." she said then glanced back at Jack waiting for him to order. Sitting there, she though back on their friendship over the past two years.

It was tough because they didn't get to spend time with each other as they would have liked to, but even after all that time, they were still able to remain good friends. Now, here they are sitting in a restaurant; having dinner with each other. Another thought then entered into her mind. Looking at Jack, she took a deep breath ad slowly let it out. "So about last night..." Mia paused for a moment. She was curious about what he thought about what happened. "Wha..What do you think that meant?" she asked with a curious look upon her face.

As Mia sat there, she pondered over the menu until she saw her favorite dish. Spaghetti and meatballs. It had been a favorite of hers since she was a child, a dish that she couldn't get enough of. Hearing Jacks comment about stealing her spaghetti and meatballs, she narrowed her eyes playfully at him. "You wouldn't have to steal, I'll share with you." she tilted her head slightly with a smile. Mia didn't mind sharing with people, it was just her nature. "Just ok? Anything bothering you?" she asked curiously. Watching the waitor come to table with their drinks, then ordered her dinner and listened to Jack order his meal. Looking around the tavern, she saw a few people starting to enter the place. Of course it was the Three Broomsticks, a place of popularity.

Glancing back at Jack, she saw a smile upon his face, Mia smiled back at him. At that moment, both were silent. Mia was contemplating on bringing up what happened last night, but wasn't sure if he wanted to talk about it. So breaking the silence, she asked him about it. She was curious and wanted to find out what he thought. But when he said he forgot, Mia felt so embarrassed and at that point was at a loss for words. "Nice going Mia, just make a fool out of yourself." she thought to herself. Glancing down at her drink, she took a deep breath and slowly let it out before lifting the glass to her lips. She really felt horrible for asking, but was curious how he could forget. Or was he just playing around. Mia couldn't really tell with the straight face he was giving her.

"I see." she said placing the glass back down on the table and moved to sit straight up. "It's alright, forget about it. It was probably nothing." she smiled at him. It wasn't long before the waiter came back with their dinner and put it before them. Mia looked at the waiter and smiled thanking him. Looking back at her dinner, raised her napkin and placed it in her lap. "So any plans for the summer break?" she asked him curiously.
